Jaylah Fish

Lorena’s own Jaylah Yasmine Fish is the definition of well-rounded and relentless. A member of the Class of 2027 at Lorena High School, Jaylah competes in cross country, track, and soccer - and she’s not just showing up, she’s turning heads.

On the course, Jaylah has made serious waves:

* Named to the THSCA 4A Super Elite Team for cross country
* Ran a 19:52 5K to place 6th overall at the Nike South Regional in the Girls Rising Stars Race
* Competed in the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Oregon in the 800m Emerging Athletes Race—one of only \~65 selected nationwide!

In track, she runs everything from the 800 to the 3200, including the 4x4 anchor.

On the pitch, she’s a force up front as a striker and forward.

Off the field, Jaylah boasts a 3.75 GPA and is active in her school and community:

* Book club member
* Assisted with a community color run
* Volunteered at Lil Leps soccer camp (K–8th)
* Served as a buddy and coach for Special Olympics events

Her inspiration? Olympic champ Faith Kipyegon. Like her hero, Jaylah pushes through obstacles with grit and heart—proving that belief, hustle, and heart go further than doubt ever could.

Leopard Nation and all of Central Texas should be proud—Jaylah Fish is a rising star to keep your eyes on!
